professional teeth whiteningDazzling white teeth are a sight to behold!  They make a lasting impression on other people and can really make you love the face you see in the mirror.  Getting really white teeth can be a major hassle in today’s fast-paced world filled with coffee, tea, and artificial colors that stain your teeth quickly.  You might want white teeth, but just can’t keep up with a long run of whitening strips or remembering when to use whitening toothpaste. Philips Zoom! Whitening is one of the professional teeth whitening methods available, and offers a different, and quicker, way to whiten your teeth in just two hours.

 How does it work?

Zoom! Whitening uses a whitening gel that is placed on your teeth and then beamed with a powerful LED light to whiten your teeth.  The process takes between one to two hours, and at the end of your visit, your teeth will be noticeably brighter.  As part of your Zoom! professional teeth whitening visit, we also make you custom whitening trays with gel, so that you can continue to boost and maintain your new, beautiful smile month after month.

What should I expect?

There are a few things you should know before getting the Zoom! professional teeth whitening treatment so you won’t be caught off guard:

  • It’s more than one application: You’ll get your treatments in 15 minute segments with new gel application every segment.
  • “Zingers”: Some patients experience sensitivity in their teeth during the procedure. The sensation will be short and will subside over the course of a day.  You will feel little “zingers” during the process and up to a day afterwards.  Zoom is not a particularly painful procedure.  It may cause sensitivity during and temporarily after the procedure but almost everyone tolerates the treatment very well, with little to no discomfort.
  • For optimal results, stay away from coffee, tea, cola, or any other staining food and drink for at least two days.

If you’re interested in getting your teeth whitened in a few hours, then give us a call and schedule an appointment.  Nothing says, “Hello world,” like a bright smile!
