Dr. Mark Wilkinson is a dentist in Greensboro, NC, who has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years.  He specializes in amazing dentures that fit fantastically and is one of the foremost experts on sedation dentistry in North Carolina.
People always ask me, “What toothpaste should I use?”  My answer was always, “Whatever you like, as long as it has the ADA seal on it.”
There are now so many products out there claiming so many things, my answer has changed.
Toothpaste has abrasives that clean or whiten the teeth.  Whitening toothpaste has more abrasives, and should never be used on porcelain or composite fillings. The abrasives can also damage the root surface of teeth where there is gum recession.  I don’t advise using whitening toothpaste at all; if you want whiter teeth, use a professional bleaching system approved by your dentist.
