Brittany Semones, D.D.S.
Dr. Semones has fallen in love with Greensboro and Friendly Dentistry. She enjoys getting to know new patients and helping them achieve oral health. Dr. Semones has been a team member since August 2011, and she truly feels that this practice has something special.
Dr. Semones grew up in Charlotte, NC, and received both her Bachelor’s Degree and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in school, she was honored to be the recipient of various educational scholarships, including the Hinman Scholarship in 2009. After graduating from Dental School in 2010, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA. Dr. Semones was anxious to return to her home state of North Carolina, so that she could be closer to her family.
She strongly believes that continuing education is key to providing the best quality dental care. In 2012, she completed a year long course at the Triangle Dental Institute, focusing solely on the placement of dental implants. She has obtained a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Semones now has excellent success placing dental implants here in our office, allowing our patients to obtain all of their dental treatment in house, where they are comfortable. She also travels to Seattle, WA twice a year, taking advanced courses under the direction of John Kois, a world-renown instructor. Her goal is to graduate from his program and continue to travel to the west coast as an adjunctive faculty. She is the acting Special Programs Chair for the Guilford County Dental Society, and she is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Semones also has a commitment to community service. She has volunteered her time each year at the Greensboro Missions of Mercy clinic, held at the Greensboro Coliseum. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Greensboro, focusing volunteer efforts on Cone Elementary School.
A Tar Heel born and bred, Dr. Semones enjoys all things Chapel Hill, especially Carolina Basketball. She enjoys staying active, being outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, and trips to the downtown farmer’s market. She also loves experiencing new things, and you will find her checking out the local haunts of Greensboro (new and old) and staying busy with travel. She is most cozy, however, sitting on her deck with good conversation, good food, and her dog, Penny!
